A Registered Maine Guide License is no easy task to obtain. In addition to years of dedicated training, written and oral board exams are conducted by our governing body, the Maine Department of Fisheries and Wildlife. Our Sea Kayak Guides are with us during the season in Maine because they love paddling and sharing the magical Acadia Waters...
Maine State Sea Kayak conducts pre-season training with emphasis on communication, safety, wildlife, ethics, navigation, emergency procedures, island use, and the like. The Sea Kayak Guide Staff takes paddling seriously and our perfect safety record is testimony to that.
